I have successfully covered chips using sharpie permanent markers on keepsakes - just one suggestion. Shoe polish, enamel pain, fingernail polish and more can also be used. All the pieces are included - too much for me to repair...
Also of note - tarts are sticky but still sealed and very fragrant.
